Privacy

This site has no accounts, sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Everything it remembers about you stays in your own browser, on your own device.

What this site does not do

There is no account system, no sign-in and no server-side database. This site does not set cookies of any kind. It does not run analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or any third-party script, so nothing here reports your visits or your searches to anyone.

What is stored in your browser

This site keeps a few small pieces of data in your browser's own localStorage, each under its own versioned key. None of it is ever sent to this site or to anyone else — it never leaves your device.

• eck:recent:v1 — your "Recently copied" list, at most 20 emoji, most recent first.
• eck:my-kit:v1 — the emoji you have added to My Kit, at most 100 emoji.
• eck:preferences:v1 — your chosen skin-tone default and your preferred separator for "Copy all".

If your browser had already stored a recently-copied list from an earlier version of this site, under a different, older storage key, it is read once, copied intoeck:recent:v1, and the old entry is removed. This happens automatically, on your device, the first time you load the current version of the site.

You can clear any of this at any time: use the "Clear" control next to Recently copied or My Kit, or clear this site's data from your browser settings. Clearing site data removes everything above. If your browser blocks local storage entirely, the rest of the site still works — you simply will not get a Recently copied list, a saved My Kit or a remembered preference between visits.

Network requests

Loading this site makes requests only for the site's own static files — the page itself, its stylesheet and scripts, and a couple of small data files (/search-index.json, /variant-families.json) used to power search. Nothing is requested from any other domain. Your clipboard is written to only when you choose to copy something; nothing is copied automatically or in the background.

Hosting

This site is served as static files by Cloudflare Pages. Like most web hosts, the hosting infrastructure that serves these pages typically processes standard request data — such as IP address and browser user agent — in its own server logs, purely to serve and operate the site. This site's own code does not read, forward or add to that data in any way.

If this changes

If analytics or any other tracking is ever added, this page will be updated first to say plainly what was added and what it collects.
